Therefore it is important to know how to practice good food hygiene and cooking safety when dealing with the handling and preparation of food. It’s always better to be safe than sorry later on. This is crucial as certain foods can carry disease from one person to the other. As well as is a means for the transmission of bacteria that can cause food poisoning.

Rubber gloves should be worn as hot water is what is required to clean them the best. Wash clothes and any scrubbing brushes should be changed out frequently.

  • Make sure to store cooked foods and raw foods on separate shelves in your refrigerator.
  • Don’t leave any perishable foods off refrigeration.

  • Thoroughly wash hands with soap and water before doing any cooking. Also make sure that your hair is tied back.
